Looking for a new job in today’s market requires technological and networking skills like never before. Knowing that 60% of jobs are found through networking, 77% of recruiters rely on LinkedIn and other job search engines to find talent. To top it off, 75% of resumes get rejected even before they make it to the hiring manager. Candidates are using social media to build a profile while using their profile page as an opportunity to make a visual resume. They’re also connecting with other working professionals in the desired field and growing networking connections. This is the current state of today’s job search environment. 

Throughout 2022, new business and workplace challenges emerged unlike anything we’ve seen in the past. To help combat some of these new demands, we created resources for HR practitioners to utilize and enhance their recruiting, onboarding, engagement andrecognition strategies.

An employee’s career milestone is an important event to acknowledge. Celebrating an employee’s work anniversary should be easy to highlight. After all, you are thanking them for their length of service with the organization and expressing appreciation for their contributions.

Managers find making unbiased decisions one of the most challenging parts of their job. As leaders, they must set an example, and being aware of their preconceived ideas sometimes comes as an unexpected roadblock. Although many of us think we are objective and inclusive; we don’t realize that we gravitate towards groups or individuals who share the same ideas. This affects the workplace culture, resulting in uniform environments that make gaining awareness of our biases troublesome.
